Passenger Guide
The acceptance of carry-on pets in Air Europa flights is subjected to the following conditions:
a).- They shall be carried in approved transportation cages. (In the case of small animals carried in the guest cabin, a bag or adequate container may be accepted as long as it is kept closed throughout the flight).
b).- Passengers carrying a pet shall present veterinarian certifications of good health and vaccine books in order. In international flights, passengers shall also present any special documentation required by the foreign country for the import of their animals.
c).- Animals weighting up to 8 kilos (cage weight included) can be carried in the guest cabin. Animals of more than 8 kilos (cage weight included) shall travel in the cargo compartment of the aircraft.
d).- The only limitation for animals traveling in the cargo compartment of the aircraft is compartment capacity.
e).- The following animals will be accepted for carriage in the guest cabin when in a proper kennel: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, etc. Less common animals that could be a nuisance for the rest of the passengers (such as small snakes, lizards, spiders, etc.) shall be boarded in the cargo compartment of the aircraft, even if they do not exceed weight limitation, inside containers as specified in IATA regulation.
f).- Dogs carried in the cargo compartment of the aircraft shall necessarily wear a muzzle.
g).-Pets transported by passengers, both in the cabin and in the hold, do not form part of the passenger’s luggage and therefore are not included in the baggage allowance which the passenger is entitled to in accordance with the class indicated on his/her ticket.
