1. ARMS / WEAPONS
1.1- General Conditions of Acceptance
- You are not allowed to keep on your person, or within your reach, firearms or any other type of weapon or objects that may be dangerous, and which may only be transported as checked baggage.
- Passengers will be responsible to pack properly their arms and objects capable to be used as offensive objects.
- Weapons and ammunition of war shall not be accepted, except that military may carry their personal weapon but not the ammunition.
- Local security procedures for acceptance of firearms / ammunition shall be met.
- The passenger must be in possession of the legally required export, transit and import permits and the User Certificate pertaining to the weapons concerned.
- Fire arms shall never be charged / loaded with ammunition and must be suitably packed in a cover or case that is locked with a key or combination lock.
- The cover or case shall contain a copy of the Authorization issued by the Weapon Control Office;
- Ammunition must be for personal sporting or hunting purpose and may not include ammunition with explosive or incendiary projectiles.
- The ammunition shall be transported in rigid boxes separate from those employed to transport the weapons, in quantities not exceeding 5 kg (11 lb) gross weight per passenger.
1.2- Required Documentation
The regulated arms / weapons, whose purchase, possession and use are authorised or permitted, may only be accepted as checked baggage in hold provided that the following conditions are met::
At Spanish Airports:
- Passengers residing in Spain and EU countries shall provide the following documentation at the Weapon Control Office::
i. I.D. or passport;
ii. Weapons license;
iii. Weapons possession guide;
iv. Document of transport (flight ticket);
v. European Weapons License (EU countries).
- If the person checking in the weapon is not the owner, this person must also provide the authorization of the owner in order to go through the check-in formality.
- Foreign passengers from non-EU countries shall provide the following documentation at the Weapon Control Office:
i. Passport;
ii. Special permit granted upon entrance into Spain;
iii. Document of transport (flight ticket).
The form number 790 must be filled out (one form per passenger), and the corresponding fee must be paid at any bank near the weapons control room. For passengers’ convenience, the 790 form may be filled and the fee paid at any bank before coming to the airport..
The passenger will receive the weapons shipment authorization along with the receipt confirming payment of the corresponding fee.
With the weapons shipment authorization and the weapons and ammunition cases inspected, you can proceed to the check-in counter of the airlines with which you are going to travel.
At Non-Spanish Airports. Local regulations shall be met.
1.3- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
The normal applicable extra baggage charges and procedures apply on arms / weapons carried in excess of the free allowance.

1.5-
Piece Concept
To be considered as 1 piece of baggage with total dimensions of 158 cm (62 in), irrespective of actual dimensions are:
- Sporting fire arms consisting of not more than one rifle case of not more than two rifles;
- 5 kg (11 lb) of ammunition;
- One shooting mat;
- Hearing protector, and
- Small rifle tools.
OR:
- One pistol case of not more than 5 pistols;
- 5 kg (11 lb) of ammunition;
- Hearing protector;
- One pistol telescope, and
- Small pistol tools.
Or else, in case of fencing equipment:
- 2 blades;
- 1 fencing mask;
- 1 standard fencing uniform (jacket, plastron and pants), and
- 1 pair of gloves.

2- BICYCLES
2.1- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Weight Concept
- Any bicycle carried in scheduled flights is excluded from the free allowance.
- The following one way excess baggage charge per equipment of not more than 23 kg applies.
- Each kilogram over the 23 kg allowance must be charged the standard excess tariff.
Piece Concept
- Any bicycle carried in scheduled flights is excluded from the free allowance.
2.2- ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
The passenger shall present bikes at check-in:

With handlebars turned lengthwise;
- Removed pedals;
- Removed or covered outstretched parts;
- Deflated tyres (forward tyre shall be removed and attached to the frame);
- Suitably packed in a bag or bike-box.
- The acceptance of bicycles is always subject to the availability of space and weight in the aircraft hold, after all baggage that passengers are entitled has been loaded. Bicycles are carried subject to limited liability from Air Europa in the event of loss or damage during the flight; therefore they shall always be tagged with a “Limited Release” tag.
Air Europa considers bike box as the only suitable packing for a bicycle. A box will protect both the bike and the baggage of other passengers.

3- DIVING EQUIPMENT
Diving equipment may consist of:
- wet suit;
- vest;
- socks;
- mask;
- shoes;
- torch;
- webs;
- knife;
- 1 empty oxygen cylinder, and
- 1 regulator.
3.1- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Weight Concept
- Diving equipment is included in the free baggage allowance.

- If the baggage allowance is exceeded, the following one way excess baggage charge per equipment of not more than 23 kg applies.
Piece Concept
- Diving equipment is included in the free baggage allowance.
3.2- PROCESS
When the passenger presents diving equipment at check-in:
- Diving cylinders must be empty, and will always be carried in the hold.
- Lamp and batteries must be removed from the torch and packed separately. They may be carried in hand baggage only.
The acceptance of diving equipment is always subject to the availability of space and weight in the aircraft hold, after all baggage that passengers are entitled has been loaded.

4. FISHING EQUIPMENT
Fishing equipment may consist of:
- 2 rods;
- 1 reel;
- 1 landing net;
- 1 pair of fishing boots, and
- 1 fishing tackle box.
4.1- WEIGHT CONCEPT
Normal procedures for weight concept apply on fishing equipment.
4.2- PIECE CONCEPT
A fishing equipment is considered as one piece of baggage with total dimensions of 158 cm (62 in), irrespective of actual dimensions.

5. GOLF EQUIPMENT
Golf equipment may consist of:
- 1 golf bag containing golf clubs, and
- 1 pair of golf shoes.
5.1- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Weight Concept
- Golf equipment is included in the free baggage allowance.
- If the baggage allowance is exceeded, the following one way excess baggage charge per equipment of not more than 23 kg applies.
- Each kilogram over the 23 kg allowance must be charged the standard excess tariff.

5.2- ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
The acceptance of golf equipment is always subject to the availability of space and weight in the aircraft hold, after all baggage that passengers are entitled has been loaded.

6. SNOW SKI EQUIPMENT
Snow ski equipment may consist of:
- a pair of snow skis;
- a pair of poles, and
- a pair of ski boots.
6.1- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

- Snow ski equipment is included in the free baggage allowance.
- If the baggage allowance is exceeded, the following one way excess baggage charge per equipment of not more than 23 kg applies.
- Each kilogram over the 23 kg allowance must be charged the standard excess tariff.

6.2- ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
Packing the ski equipment in a specific bag is recommended.
The acceptance of ski equipment is always subject to the availability of space and weight in the aircraft hold, after all baggage that passengers are entitled has been loaded.

8. WATER SKI EQUIPMENT
Water ski equipment may consist of:
- a pair of standard water skis, or
- one slalom water ski.
8.1- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Normal procedures for weight concept apply on ski equipment.
Piece Concept
Water ski equipment irrespective of the actual dimensions may be considered as a piece of baggage of 158 cm (62 in).
8.2- ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
The acceptance of ski equipment is always subject to the availability of space and weight in the aircraft hold, after all baggage that passengers are entitled has been loaded. Ski equipments are carried subject to limited liability from Air Europa in the event of loss or damage during the flight; therefore they shall always be tagged with a “Limited Release” tag.

9. SURF EQUIPMENT (WINDSURF, BOOGIE BOARD AND KITE SURF)
Surf equipment may consist of:
- a surfboard;
- a mast;
- a sail, and
- a boom.
Or else:
- a boogie board
Or else:
- a kite;
- a bar, and
- a board.
9.1- BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
Weight Concept
- Surf equipment carried in scheduled flights is excluded from the free allowance.
- The following one way excess baggage charge per equipment of not more than 23 kg applies.
- Each kilogram over the 23 kg allowance must be charged the standard excess tariff.
Piece Concept
- Surf equipment carried in scheduled flights is excluded from the free allowance.
9.2- ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
Surf equipment shall be carried in a suitable package.
The acceptance of surf equipment is always subject to the availability of space and weight in the aircraft hold, after all baggage that passengers are entitled has been loaded.
- Surf equipment (surfboard and mast) not exceeding 300 cm (118 in) adding the three dimensions, may be accepted as checked baggage.
- Surf equipment (surfboard and mast) exceeding 300 cm (118 in) adding the three dimensions, shall be sent as freight being then responsibility of the Air Europa Cargo Department.
