Description and explanation of how the service works

The website organises its content into different thematic sections accessible from the main menu, allowing users to book flights, manage reservations, check in online, and consult flight information and additional services. The platform also incorporates search tools, highlighted access points, and links to other features and services offered by Air Europa.

 

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard due to non-conformities in the areas listed below.

The platform applies basic accessibility practices such as a clear structure, consistent main navigation, and responsive design, among others. However, some accessibility issues have been identified. These include improperly structured headings, non-descriptive links, errors in keyboard navigation order, incorrect alternative text, issues with keyboard-based navigation, and others.

The interfaces have been evaluated using both automated tools and manual reviews based on the WCAG 2.1 level AA criteria and the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard.

Despite these efforts, some accessibility issues may still persist, as detailed in the next section.

  • 9.1.4.4 Resize Text – There may be issues when resizing the page or its content.

  • 9.2.1.1 Keyboard – Some elements on the page may not be operable using a keyboard.

  • 9.2.4.1 Bypass Blocks – Mechanisms to skip repetitive blocks such as menus or headers have not been implemented, hindering efficient navigation. 

  • 9.2.4.3 Focus Order – The focus order does not follow a logical navigation sequence.

  • 9.2.4.4 Link Purpose – Some links may not clearly indicate their function or destination. 

  • 9.2.4.5 Multiple Ways – The website does not offer a navigation method alternative to the main menu

  • 9.2.4.6 Headings and Labels – Some headings may be unclear, overly long, or misused as headings.

  • 9.2.4.7 Focus Visible – Some links may not show visible focus when selected.

  • 9.4.1.2 Name, Role, Value – Some elements may not have their name, role, or value properly defined.

  • 9.4.1.3 Status Messages – Some on-screen elements may appear without being properly identified through status messages or roles.

  • 9.6 WCAG Conformance Requirements – Not all criteria of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines are met.
