Changes in flight operations

In order to make the self-management of involuntary changes and reissues for cancelled flights, here is all the information regarding our policy and further procedures.

We inform you that, due to the state of emergency in Israel, passengers affected by the cancellations of our UX 1301/1302 MADTLV MAD flights issued with a 996 plate may be offered the following alternatives:

Date change: permitted in the same cabin and free of charge, to fly up to and including 31 March 2024*.
Route change: permitted in the same cabin and free of charge, to any destination in Europe, to fly up to and including 31 March 2024*.
Voucher request: we offer the possibility to save the amount of the ticket for use as credit on a future purchase (valid for any destination operated by Air Europa). Request a non-refundable voucher here.
Refundable*.
The use of ATC is permitted* and no fare difference or penalty will be applied, provided that the cabin and authorised dates are respected. Once the date and/or route changes have been processed, these tickets will be identifiable because they will include the following FE (endorsement text): "WAIVEUX TLVWAROC23". 

Dates of cancelled flights:

October 2023: 08 and from 10 to 31

November 2023: from 01 to 30

December 2023: from 01 to 31

January 2024: from 01 to 31

February 2024: from 01 to 19 

Operational from 19 February 2024:

From 20/02/24 to 29/02/24 we will operate Mondays and Thursdays with the first flight on 22/02/24.

From 01/03/24 to 10/03/24 we will operate Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
 From 11/03/24 to 25/04/24 we will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
From 26/04/24 to 27/06/24 we will operate every day except Fridays and Saturdays.
From 28/06/24 we will operate every day of the week.

If the flight has been changed (UN or TK status), we offer the following: 

  • Free change of date in the same cabin and route for reissues made before the departure of the flights marked on the ticket to +/-7 days or on the first flight with available seats. The original reservation must be in UN or TK status.  
    • You must book the new seat on the flight of your customer's choice, in the same class, and in the original cabin.  
    • If the same class is not available for the new flight, you will have to request the force in the same class.  
    • The use of the ATC tool is permitted. To do this you must use the Schedule change transaction (FXI/SC). 
  • VOUCHER: Possibility to save the amount of the ticket for use as credit on a future purchase (valid for any destination operated by Air Europa or on the same route as the original ticket). This voucher must be used within one year of issue and must be used to fly within 12 months of the rebooking. Voucher application. You can request the voucher by contacting our Call Centre
  • Refund

If the e-mail address associated with a VOUCHER does not correspond to the e-mail address of the VOUCHER holder, you can request a change of address. To do so, we have two forms available:

These forms must be completed, stamped by the issuing agency and sent to the following e-mail address: myvoucher@air-europa.com.
Once the application has been studied, it will be validated and the modification and notification of acceptance of the change request will be made.
In the event that the request cannot be processed, we will inform you of the reasons for this by the same means.

The Venezuelan government imposed a new tax to be paid by all passengers entering the country during the past year. The YR fee was 60 USD and since 25/01/22, with the entry into force of Resolution No. 021, the AK fee was increased from 26 euros to 63 euros for passengers arriving from Venezuela. 
This fee, which was included to cover the expenses derived from the PCR test due to COVID, has been abolished, so if the customer has this fee on their ticket, they are entitled to claim reimbursement, whether they have flown or not. 


Regardless of where the ticket was purchased, the refund will be managed by the Call Centre
To manage the ticket refund, the Air Europa Back Office will reissue the ticket, removing the YR fee. A residual value EMD will be generated for the value of the fee and then refunded if necessary.  
The process will be carried out 5 days before the departure of the flight, so that in the case of a travel agency booking, the travel agency does not lose control of the ticket so far in advance. The refund of this fee will be handled by bank transfer.

Bookings of Business Class passengers who suffer an involuntary downgrade to Economy Class (F) due to a change of equipment will have the Premium Economy service free of charge if they accept to fly in Economy Class (Premium Economy).  
For this purpose, the original flight in F class will be included in the reservation and a telephone number will be set up so that, if the customer decides to fly, the Air Europa Call Centre (Premium Economy Service 910 78 58 58) can process compensation depending on the route and SUMA level and reissue the ticket.   
*Available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Correction of the name on a booking is possible as long as it can be proven that it is a mistake in the passenger's name (not a change of identity). The correction of the name will be free of charge, but only one name change per passenger per booking will be accepted. 

IF THE PASSENGER'S DOCUMENTATION APPEARS ON THE BOOKING:  

Regardless of the correction you want to make (first name, middle name, first surname, second surname, full name or just one letter) you must send a photo of the document (ID card, passport, NIE, identity card, etc.) to gestion.reserva@aireuropa.com (M-F from 9am to 5pm). Once the documentation is received, we will check that the document sent matches the one that appears in the reservation and we will proceed to manage the change. 

IF NO PASSENGER DOCUMENTATION APPEARS ON THE RESERVATION:  

The following corrections can be made without the need to send any documentation by post, the travel agent must contact the Agency Support service for authorisation. 

  • Update the name by adding or removing the first or middle name. Example, Antonia for Maria Antonia.  
  • Update the name, in case the error is in a translation of the name of the document. For example, Joan for Juan or Javier for Xabier.  
  • Correct an error in a letter when transcribing the name or surname. For example, Jiménez for Giménez or Hernández for Fernández. 
  • Modify one or more letters in the first name or surname: Example: Gomes for Gómez. 
  • Modify the order of the surnames or include another one, keeping at least one surname or original first name. Example: Sánchez López for López Sánchez or Pérez /José for Pérez Sánchez/José Manuel. 

CORRECTION OF THE NAME DUE TO A CHANGE OF GENDER OR ADAPTATION OF THE SPOUSE'S SURNAME: 

Regardless of whether or not the documentation appears in the reservation, the request must be made by providing the documentation accrediting the change of name/surname to gestion.reserva@aireuropa.com (opening hours M-F from 9am to 5pm). 

EXCEPTIONS: 

  • Bookings with TTOO (Tour Operator) rates: the Agency must contact the Tour Operator to apply specific procedures to these bookings. 
  • Group bookings: the agency must contact the Air Europa Groups Department directly.
