Recommendations and new regulations for travel

Mandatory use of masks

Since 4 May 2020, and after its publication in the BOE, the use of masks that cover the nose and mouth is obligatory for passengers aged 6 and over. Only surgical or upper protection masks without an exhalation valve are permitted. We recommend checking the manufacturer's suggestions for making the corresponding changes. They must be carried on board only on flights to or from a country that requires their use on public transport with the necessary spare parts to be protected throughout the flight until leaving the terminal building at the airport of destination.

Those passengers who exceptionally and for severe lung disease with a predicted 55% forced vital capacity (FVC) threshold and a DLCO threshold of 40% or with a GAP index greater than 5 or mental or physical disabilities that do not allow the proper use of a face mask, must send an email, before 48 hours prior to the departure of the flight, attaching this medical certificate that accredits it and issued no later than 2 months before the date of the flight to requerimientomedico@air-europa.com. In order to be able to travel, you must have completed this procedure and present a negative certificate of a PCR test carried out within 48 hours prior to departure, in addition to the health tests and documentation required by the local authorities at your destination, at any Air Europa counter at the airport on the day of the flight.
