Environmental commitment is part of our long-term strategy. We are aware of the impact of aviation and are taking concrete measures to reduce our emissions, optimize resource use, minimize waste, and move toward a circular economy. We collaborate with initiatives that support a just transition to a lower-impact air transport model. We know that decarbonization is a complex process, but we move forward with realistic, measurable, and consistent actions.
Reducing our emissions is an essential part of our commitment to the future.
30%
reduction in CO₂ emissions by 2030 (based on 2015 levels) is our goal.

5 key steps: refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover.

We apply the principles of the circular economy — refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover — in our ground, air, and administrative operations. We improve waste sorting to facilitate recycling, avoid the use of single-use materials whenever possible, and promote efficient use of energy and water in our facilities.
Additionally, we strive to incorporate materials with lower environmental impact in our onboard products. With these actions, we move towards a model that prioritizes resource utilization and minimizes waste generation.
We take care of every drop in our operations.

6.90%
reduction in water consumption at the company’s headquarters in 2024, compared to the previous year.
At Air Europa, we monitor water consumption in our facilities and operations with the goal of improving efficiency and reducing waste. Although our activity does not have a direct impact on marine ecosystems, we remain committed to responsible management of natural resources, in line with the environmental standards of the sector.
Protecting the life that makes our planet unique.
We actively work to protect biodiversity and reduce our impact on natural ecosystems. Although our flight operations do not involve significant land occupation, we are aware that every action counts in preserving the environment.

We pay special attention to bird strikes, especially during migration periods, as they can affect the natural balance.
We promote initiatives within our team, such as the creation of an urban garden at our headquarters and beach cleanup campaigns.
At Air Europa, we comply with the EMAS Regulation and publish our Environmental Statement annually, externally validated.
