Value declaration

Before checking fragile, perishable or valuable items in your baggage, we recommend you make a special value declaration.

Deadline for presentation

You must go in person to the company's check-in desks at least 2 hours before the departure of your flight.

Documents to be presented

  • Identification document (national ID or passport).
  • Ticket.
  • Form with duly completed inventory declaration (also available at the company's offices at the airport).

Baggage inspection

Before check-in, you must open the baggage in the presence of an employee designated by the company in order to verify the status of the items declared as having special value. Then, you must seal your baggage with a key, lock or combination lock.

Declaration limits

Checked baggage with a special value declaration must be valued at more 1288 SDRs (special drawing rights) and may not exceed €4000


To use of this service, you must pay 15% of the declared special value.


The special value declaration is only valid for Air Europa flights. If you have connecting flights with other companies, you will need to collect your baggage after the flight operated by Air Europa.

Household appliances
