Pregnant women

These are our requirements and recommendations for flying when pregnant.

Are you pregnant?

Air travel is not recommended for women beyond the 36th week of pregnancy (32 weeks for twin pregnancies without complications). However, if you who need to fly after this time you must consult your doctor, who will decide whether you are fit to fly.

In the case described above, Air Europa requires that the passenger send a medical certificate to the email address issued within 10 days prior to the flight's departure. This will include the following information:

  • Fit to fly (for the outbound and return flight).
  • Number of days of the pregnancy (based on the date of issue of the certificate).
  • Estimated date of birth.
  • First birth or not.
  • Single/twin pregnancy.
  • Any complications of the pregnancy.

Any other cases and exceptions must be authorised by the Air Europa medical service.
