Children between 0 and 2 years old
Minors who have not reached the age of 2 on the date of the flight must travel in the same seat as the accompanying adult.
Babies (under the age of 2) may carry one 10kg piece in the cabin. And they will have the same free baggage allowance in the hold as the adult with whom the baby is associated in the booking. . Furthermore, they can carry ONLY one of the following items:
- A foldable pushchair when travelling with children up to 4 years old.
- A baby carrier.
Each adult can travel with a maximum of two children under 2 years old; in this case:
One child must travel in the same seat as the adult wearing a special safety belt provided by the Air Europa crew.
The other child must travel in an adjacent seat in an approved child seat. In the latter case, the seat price for children between 2 and 11 years old will apply.
Baby cots
Can you imagine having one space for you and another for your baby during the flight? Travelling with your little one has never been so comfortable. On flights operated by the B787 fleet, we offer a baby cot service for children under 24 months old. An XL seat for you is included with the baby cot, so that you and your baby can travel with more space. Plus, if you choose the Business tariff, this service is free of charge.

Children between 2 and 11 years old
- They will travel in their own seat and may check the same baggage as an adult, but they will not be able to travel in emergency exit seats.
- There is no limit on the number of children between 2 and 11 years travelling on board.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult travelling in the same cabin, who is at least 18 years old. The accompaniment service must be requested for any minors travelling alone.

Air Europa looks out for children traveling along, and our staff will always accompany the child and ensure they stay safe during the journey.
Is a child traveling unaccompanied?
Our escort service is compulsory for minors between the ages of 5 and 11 (inclusive) on domestic flights, and up to age 14 (inclusive) on international flights.
The person responsible for the minor must be over the age of 18.
Our YOUNG PEOPLE service is optional for children between the ages of 12 and 17 on domestic flights, and between 15 and 17 on international flights.
* Please note, these services must be requested in advance, at which point you'll need to provide the contact details of the people responsible for dropping off and picking up the child.

A step-by-step guide to children traveling alone
If a child is traveling alone, there are some steps you need to take along each step of the journey.
1. Booking
Booking a flight for an unaccompanied minor isn't something you can do online. Instead, you can book at any Air Europa branch or via customer services. Each flight will have a maximum number of minors permitted to travel unaccompanied.

You can request an escort service at travel agencies, sales offices, or via customer services.
2. Travel documents
ID card, passport, vaccinations, entry procedures... We recommend that you check exactly which documents you need for the country's entry requirements.
To speed up the process and ensure you have the right documentation, please complete the travel form provided below and print one copy to be presented at the check-in desk. Our staff will then be responsible for distributing the forms to Air Europa staff.
If you have any issues with the online form, you can download it in PDF format and fill it in by hand.
3. At the airport
Air Europa will only accept unaccompanied minors on connecting flights with a layover time of no more than 5 hours.
You must obtain a boarding card at the airport's check-in desk. The child's companion will be provided with a temporary boarding pass enabling them to accompany the child to the boarding gate. If you don't accompany the child as far as the boarding gate, you must stay in the airport until the flight departs.
You cannot check in online - you'll need to do it at the check-in desks.
4. On board the plane
Our crew will be there to make sure the child is safe and comfortable. They'll also make sure they arrive safely when they reach the destination airport.
5. On arrival
The minor will be the last to leave the airplane when it arrives at its destination. A member of our crew will accompany them to arrivals where they'll meet the person responsible for pick-up.
Minors travelling in groups
Different types of distribution between minors and adults:
- Groups of up to 23 children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.
- Groups of between 24 and 35 children must be accompanied by at least 2 adults.
- Groups of 36 to 47 children must be accompanied by at least 3 adults.
- Above this number, one adult will be required for every 12 additional children.

It will not be necessary to fly with a trained companion if the passenger can act individually in the event of an emergency and is over 12 years of age on domestic flights or 15 years of age on international flights.
How do I request a travel cot for my baby?
- For the comfort of your baby, we offer a cot service for flights operated by our B787 and for babies that weigh 11 kg and under.
- To request this service, you must contact us through our Customer Service.

What luggage can children take?
CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS OLD
- Hand baggage: 1 piece of hand baggage (10 kg maximum) that does not exceed 115 cm in total (length x width x height). You can take baby food (e.g., baby food jars, milk, etc.) in your hand luggage for use during the flight.
- Hold baggage: babies can only take 1 piece of baggage (10 kg maximum) in the hold, provided that an adult has purchased a fare that includes checked baggage. The overall dimensions of the suitcase must not exceed 158 cm (length x width x height).
In addition to your baggage allowance, you can also transport one of the following items:
- A foldable pushchair when travelling with children up to 4 years old.
- A baby carrier.
- A baby car seat.

If my baby turns two years old during the trip, are they considered a baby or child?
For administrative purposes, babies who turn two years old during a trip are considered children.
Therefore, when booking a flight, you must select the passenger as a child and not as a baby.
Can a child travelling alone take a pet?
Minors travelling alone can request to travel with a pet on direct flights operated by Air Europa by booking in advance.

- An approved baby car seat suitable for children between 6 months and 3 years old.
You can take the pushchair to the door of the aircraft, except for the airports of Charles de Gaulle (Paris), Orly (Paris), and Fiumicino (Rome), where it will be checked in free of charge.
